Kamdhenu’s revenue from operations increased from Rs 185 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal (Q2FY24) to Rs 190.2 crore in Q2FY25
Marking a healthy improvement in its performance, Kamdhenu, a manufacturer and seller of branded TMT Bars, in the retail segment has registered a 56 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in its net profit in the second quarter of the current financial year (Q2FY25). As per its unaudited financial results, the company’s net profit increased to Rs 15.9 crore in Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 10.2 crore in Q2FY24.
Kamdhenu’s revenue from operations increased from Rs 185 crore in Q2FY24 to Rs 190.2 crore in Q2FY25, witnessing a 3 per cent increase. The company saw its profit before tax (PBT) increase to Rs 20.9 per cent in Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 13.5 crore in Q2FY24. The PBT margin of the company was 11 per cent during the quarter. The same was 7.3 per cent in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.
“After a challenging Q1, we are pleased to report a strong recovery in revenue growth for Q2, primarily driven by increased construction activity. Despite some regional flooding challenges, Q2 FY25 revenue reached Rs. 190 crore, reflecting a 3 per cent year-over-year growth with our volume sales through the franchisee route witnessing a growth of 11 per cent YoY,” stated Satish Kumar Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of the company.
Despite a decline in the average selling price of TMT bars, Kamdhenu has registered a growth in revenue from own facility by 1 per cent as it increased from Rs 155.4 crore in Q2FY24 to Rs 157.2 crore in Q2FY25. There was an 8 per cent YoY increase in the volume from its own facilities as well. The company saw its revenue from royalty income witness a 11 per cent increase on-year to reach Rs 32.7 crore in Q2FY25 from Rs 29.6 crore in Q2FY24.
