Experienced leader returns to optimise supply chain and enhance customer experience
Pepperfry has revealed the return of Alok Varman as Head of Supply Chain. In his new role, he will focus on optimising the supply chain to ensure a seamless customer experience across all channels. His extensive knowledge of Pepperfry’s business and supply chain, coupled with his proven track record, will be crucial in driving Pepperfry’s continued growth.
With over 23 years of experience in strategic business management, supply chain, omnichannel business and customer experience across sectors including retail, ecommerce, B2B and B2C wholesale marketplaces, Varman brings a wealth of expertise. As a founding team member of Pepperfry, Varman was instrumental in building the company’s robust logistics and warehousing infrastructure. During his decade-long association with Pepperfry, he led the expansion of the company’s experience stores, making them an integral part of its omnichannel strategy.
Prior to rejoining Pepperfry, Varman served as COO at Isho, a D2C e-commerce furniture startup in Bangladesh, where he enhanced customer experiences and led the brand’s entry into the Indian market. He has also held notable positions such as VP at Wydr.in, Senior Manager at Carnation Auto India and Manager of Consumer Operations at Guthy-Renker LLC.
