Hyderabad-based paints maker eyes expansion and IPO with three-year association
Techno Paints and Chemicals has appointed cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador for a three-year tenure, strengthening the Hyderabad-based company’s brand positioning.
Akuri Srinivas Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of Techno Paints and Chemicals, said the company was honoured to associate with one of the world’s most iconic cricketers and Bharat Ratna, Sachin Tendulkar, adding that it was looking ahead to major milestones this year, including expansion and an IPO. He noted that the company could not have found a better ambassador or growth partner, he said on Saturday.
Earlier, film star Mahesh Babu served as the company’s brand ambassador from 2023 to 2025.
Growth Plan
Reddy said the company is eyeing an initial public offering in 2026-27, with plans to raise nearly Rs 500 crore. Techno Paints posted revenues of Rs 210 crore in 2024-25 and expects to touch around Rs 450 crore in the current financial year. The company is targeting a turnover of Rs 2,000 crore by 2029-30.
Techno Paints manufactures decorative, industrial and speciality paints, and has built a strong presence in special texture finishes and construction chemicals. Its decorative paints portfolio comprises over 3,000 shades. The company operates an in-house research and development centre in Hyderabad and a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Pashamylaram near the city.
Currently, the company operates across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Odisha and Chandigarh. It plans to expand into Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh by the end of this year, and is also preparing to enter Middle Eastern markets in 2026-27.
