Cumin Co, a premium Indian kitchenware brand, has expanded beyond cookware has it has introduced its first knife collection, The Quill. The company is looking to achieve Rs 100 crore in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
The company said that the category foray marks Cumin Co’s entry into precision preparation tools, expanding its presence beyond cookware and bakeware. The expansion also opens up a category estimated to be worth over Rs 6,000 crore India-wide, aligned with the company’s goal of becoming a premium kitchenware ecosystem brand.
“Consumers are becoming more intentional about the products they bring into their homes and we see a growing opportunity to elevate every aspect of the cooking experience, not just cookware. The quill represented the pursuit of precision and mastery and we believe those same principles apply in the kitchen,” stated Niharika Joshi, Founder, Cumin Co.
The Quill collection includes seven-inch chef’s knife, six-inch santoku knife, five-inch utility knife, steak knife, sharpening rod and knife block. The company added that the new collection also represents Cumin Co’s first major expansion into stainless steel products. With this, the company now spans four material categories and five product categories.
“We believe that great kitchen tools should not only look beautiful but also perform effortlessly over years of use. That philosophy guided every decision behind The Quill collection, from the choice of high-carbon stainless steel and full-tang construction to the ergonomically designed G10 handles,” said Udit Lekhi, Founder, Cumin Co.
