Deepinder Goyal will remain on the board as vice chairman, subject to shareholder approval
Deepinder Goyal, the founder of Eternal, has tendered his resignation as group chief executive officer and managing director, effective 1 February 2026. He will remain on the board as vice chairman, subject to shareholder approval.
Albinder Dhindsa, currently a senior executive within the group, will take over as Eternal’s new group CEO, the company said in a letter to shareholders.
Goyal said the move would allow the listed company to remain focused and disciplined, while giving him space to pursue higher-risk ideas outside Eternal that do not fit the group’s strategic or risk profile. He added that the expectations on a public company CEO require singular focus.
Eternal said its decentralised operating structure will remain unchanged, with business CEOs continuing to run day-to-day operations with autonomy. Goyal said his long-term involvement in strategy and governance would continue, and that his financial interests remain closely aligned with long-term shareholder value.
