Kindlife Partners With Japan’s Kao Group To Scale Biore In India

The alliance commences with Kao’s skincare brand Biore, which will be distributed nationwide through kindlife’s distribution vertical Kindbox

Kindlife, a new-age beauty and wellness ecosystem, has entered into an exclusive strategic partnership with Kao Group, a beauty group from Japan, to build the Japanese beauty category in India. The alliance commences with Biore, Kao’s skincare brand, which will be distributed nationwide through Kindbox, kindlife’s distribution vertical.

Driving a multi-channel online and offline strategy, the focus will be on building strong brand equity and driving product adoption among Indian consumers, ensuring long-term market relevance, the company said.

“We are committed to building Biore into a category-defining brand here, investing in its visibility, relevance, and long-term consumer equity across every touchpoint. What makes this partnership powerful is the synergy at its core – Kao brings decades of world-class R&D and formulation excellence, and we bring a deep understanding of how India discovers and adopts global beauty, and how to scale it,” said Radhika Ghai, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), kindlife.

The company added that move represents a targeted category play rather than a standard brand entry. Young India has already discovered Japanese skincare through social media, global trends and the rising influence of J-culture and kindbox is positioned as the definitive bridge to convert this demand into a scalable market, it added.

“Backed by patented technology and a robust pipeline of new product innovation, Kao is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of the Indian consumer. kindlife’s understanding of this market makes them the ideal partner to bring Kao’s innovation to Indian consumers at scale,” said Jun Shukunobe, Brand Director, Asia Skin Care Business, Kao Group.
