Reliance Industries informed in an exchange filing that it still holds 87 lakh Asian Paints shares
Reliance Industries has divested 3.5 crore equity shares of Asian Paints on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at a price of Rs 2,201 per share. The company’s subsidiary, Siddhant Commercials, divested the shares.
SBI Mutual Fund purchased the entire block of Asian Paints stock, amounting to 3.6 per cent of the company’s equity, the reports highlighted, citing a large deal disclosure on the NSE website. The block was sold for around Rs 7,704 crore.
Reliance Industries informed in an exchange filing that it still holds 87 lakh Asian Paints shares. The reports added that as of 31 March 2025, Siddhant Commercials held around 4.7 crore shares of the paints company. The promoters held a 52.6 per cent stake in Asian Paints as of March 2025, the reports added.
On the other hand, foreign institutions held a 12.2 per cent stake and domestic ones owned 15.6 per cent. The reports noted that the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) had the biggest stake among the institutions, at 8.3 per cent.
