Safari Industries Sees Flat Profit Despite Double-digit Revenue Growth

Safari Introduces Colour-Led ‘Shades Ahead’ Collection on Flipkart Sale

Revenue growth failed to translate into profit expansion as margin pressure weighed on Safari Industries’ fourth-quarter performance, even as the luggage maker continued to expand its brand portfolio

Safari Industries (India) reported a mixed set of earnings for the fourth quarter ended March, with steady revenue growth offset by muted profitability due to margin pressure on 19 May. The company’s net profit stood at Rs 37.5 crore in the quarter, marginally lower than Rs 37.6 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue rose 12.4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 473.3 crore from Rs 421 crore in the same period last year.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (Ebitda) increased 2.3 per cent year-on-year to Rs 62 crore from Rs 60.4 crore, while Ebitda margin declined to 13 per cent from 14.3 per cent a year earlier, reflecting continued cost and pricing pressure.

Dividend Declared For FY26
The board of Safari Industries has recommended a final dividend of Rs 2 per equity share of face value Rs 2 each for FY26. Subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming annual general meeting, the dividend will be paid on or before 3 September 2026.

Following the earnings announcement, shares of Safari Industries traded largely flat, reflecting a cautious market response to the results.

Brand Expansion Continues
The company continues to strengthen its brand portfolio amid sustained demand in the travel and lifestyle segment. Earlier in February, Safari Industries informed exchanges that it had entered into a licensing agreement with Carlton Retail for the use of the ‘Carlton’ brand in India under Class 18 products, including luggage.

Under the agreement, Safari Industries will have rights to use the Carlton brand for an initial period of 20 years, with an option to renew the licence for another 20 years at its discretion.

Safari Industries, a leading luggage and travel accessories company, operates across luggage, backpacks and travel gear segments under its flagship Safari and Carlton brands.
