Whirlpool Of India’s Q1 Net Profit Grows Marginally To Rs 146 Cr

The revenue from operations dipped to Rs 2,432.32 crore in the recently concluded quarter from Rs 2,496.86 crore in Q1FY25

Whirlpool of India has seen a 0.5 per cent uptick in its consolidated net profit on a year-on-year (YoY) basis in the first quarter of the current financial year (Q1FY26). The net profit rose marginally to Rs 146.08 crore in Q1FY26 from Rs 145.25 crore in Q1FY25.

The financial results of the company revealed that the revenue from operations dipped to Rs 2,432.32 crore in the recently concluded quarter from Rs 2,496.86 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year (Q1FY25). The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) was at Rs 211.1 crore, up by 0.1 per cent on a YoY basis.

“Despite a very significant decline in industry of air conditioners and refrigerators in Q1 2025-26 versus year ago due to a poor summer and onset of early monsoon that affected all players, Whirlpool was able to actually grow profits by keeping it’s volume decline minimal via continuing to gain market shares in the refrigerator and washer category in April-May and through outstanding cost control behind its P4G program,” the company said in a statement.

The improvement in gross contribution was partially offset by e-waste additional price upcharge provision, the company highlighted in a regulatory filing. For Q1 ended 30th June 2025, standalone revenue from operations was at Rs 2,317.5 crore, lower by 2.8 per cent as compared to the same period last year.
