MTI Acquires Automicle, Enters European Mobility Market

Move marks company’s first global expansion as it looks to scale its zero-commission, community-led mobility model across European cities

Moving Tech Innovations (MTI), the company behind open mobility platforms such as Namma Yatri, Yatri Sathi, Bharat Taxi and Chennai One, has announced its acquisition of Netherlands-based Automicle Holding BV, signalling its expansion into the European market.

The company has not revealed the financial terms of the deal. This marks MTI’s first international move as it seeks to scale its zero-commission, community-led mobility approach across European cities.

“When we built Namma Yatri, we put cities and their people first,” said Magizhan and Shan MS, co-founders of Moving Tech Innovations. “We proved that zero-commission models work, that drivers deserve dignity and better earnings, and that public transport can be seamlessly integrated. With Automicle, we are taking those learnings beyond India. These are not local solutions; they are universal principles. Cities everywhere are seeking a mobility model that is open and community-led.”

MTI said its platforms have collectively facilitated over 150 million rides and enabled driver earnings exceeding Rs 2,500 crore, without charging commissions.

Automicle focuses on building digital mobility infrastructure, including parking management systems and integrated public transport solutions. The company works closely with city administrations across Europe and emphasises interoperable, standards-based systems.

Jef Heyse and Mohit Mishra, co-founders of Automicle, said that “This is a pivotal moment for Automicle. We have worked with European cities for a long time to modernise mobility, from digital parking to integrated public transport. What MTI has built at scale proves that city-first models work. Together, we can help European cities move faster toward open mobility that truly serves people, while bringing European expertise in parking and integrated urban mobility to Indian cities as well. This is mutual growth.”

The acquisition comes at a time of growing collaboration between India and the European Union in areas such as digital public infrastructure and sustainable urban mobility, alongside ongoing discussions around a free trade agreement.
