Blue Star's Shashi Arora Steps Down From His Position

Blue Star’s Shashi Arora, President and Chief Operating Officer (COO)– Cooling and Purifications Appliances Group (CPAG) has tendered his resignation, the company confirmed.

According to the official statement, Arora’s last day with the company will be 30 April 2024.

Arora had joined Blue Star in April of 2022, before which he was the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lloyd of the Havells Group for four years and Managing Director (MD) and CEO of the payments bank and DTH division of Airtel for 12 years.

He also worked with Bharti Airtel for 12 years and his stint with Bharti was MD and CEO for Airtel Payments Bank. Before that, Arora was Director and CEO, Airtel DTH business for about five years.

Under Arora’s leadership, Blue Star had reached Rs 100 crore in net profit in Q3FY24. The company in January 2024 stated the company witnessed robust demand for its room air conditioners and commercial refrigeration products during the festive season

Notably, Blue Star’s Q3FY24 net profit increased by 72 per cent to Rs 100.46 crore.
