Nivea India appointed Geetika Mehta as its new managing director, coming from her role as managing director at Hershey India since July 2021. Mehta brings extensive experience from almost twenty years at Hindustan Unilever across various divisions and responsibilities.
The company highlighted Mehta’s successful career in the FMCG sector, noting her track record in developing small businesses and overseeing large-scale corporations across multiple markets like South Asia, Thailand, Brazil and South Africa. Her appointment aligns with Nivea India’s commitment to delivering high-quality products that match their care proposition.
Owned by Germany-based Beiersdorf AG, Nivea’s brand portfolio includes well-known names like Nivea, Eucerin, La Prairie and Hansaplast. Additionally, through its affiliate Tesa SE, Beiersdorf manufactures technical adhesive tapes and offers self-adhesive solutions to various industries, businesses, and consumers.
Beiersdorf, headquartered in Hamburg, reported sales of €8.8 billion in the fiscal year 2022, employing over 20,000 individuals globally.
