Manu Ahuja, Managing Director and CEO of Jubilant Industries died on Saturday, according to a BSE exchange filing, adding that “Ahuja’s sudden and unexpected passing away will be an irreparable loss to JACPL and all the Directors and Employees of JACPL convey deep sympathy, sorrow, and condolences to his family.”
“We regret to inform you of the sudden and sad demise of Manu Ahuja, Whole-time Director and CEO of JACPL, on Saturday, 9 December 2023,” according to the filing.
“JACPL, the Directors and the Management, place on record appreciation for the valuable contributions made by him during his tenure as Whole-time Director & CEO of JACPL,” according to the statement.
The Jubilant board of directors hailed his appointment in May 2018 and stated that Ahuja “will take the business to greater heights,” according to the company’s website.
Manu Ahuja, a graduate of XLRI Jamshedpur and the Thapar Institute of Engineering in Patiala, has extensive expertise in a variety of organisations and sectors in India and Southeast Asia.
Before joining the company, he worked for ASSA ABLOY Asia Pacific for almost seven years as President of South Asia, where he was in charge of 18 countries including India, SAARC, and ASEAN.
In 1991, he began his career with Coats Viyella. He has also held positions of leadership with Whirlpool and Akzo Nobel.
