PVR Inox To Open150 New Screens In FY25 With Rs 500 Cr Investment

India’s largest multiplex operator PVR Inox will open 150 screens in the fiscal year 2025 with nearly Rs 500 crore investment, the news agency PTI reported.

With the opening of a six-screen luxury cinema at Maison Inox on Thursday, the company now operates 118 screens across 23 properties in the megapolis.

Overall, including its property in Colombo, it runs 1,711 screens at 359 properties across 114 cities.

The Executive Director at PVR Inox Sanjeev Kumar Bijli said that in general, a screen required an investment of Rs 5 crore, but as it’s a luxury collection that comes with the first attached bar (Gatsby Bar), the per screen cost is about Rs 7 crore, the report said.

In terms of overseas expansion plans, the company is also planning to have more screens in Sri Lanka instead of anywhere else. Despite the civil war and the deep financial difficulties Sri Lanka has been an extremely good market for it.
