V-Mart Retail Q2 Net Loss Widens 5-fold To Rs 64.12 Cr

V-Mart Retail on Monday reported a net loss of Rs 64.12 crore for the second quarter ending September 2023, compared to a net loss of Rs 11.31 crore during the same period last year.

The revenue from operations for the September quarter was Rs 549.43 crore, up from Rs 506.16 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company noted that the results are not directly comparable due to the inclusion of the business operations of the digital marketplace LimeRoad, acquired in the previous year.

V-Mart’s total expenses for the September quarter amounted to Rs 637.84 crore.

The company’s shares settled at Rs 1,702.45 a piece on Monday, reflecting a 0.46 per cent decrease from the previous close.
