Lego Searches Jump 50% On Amazon Ahead Of Prime Day Mega Launch

Amazon.in unveils its largest-ever Lego collection with more than 100 new sets across 30-plus themes as demand from Prime members and adult collectors continues to surge

Demand for Lego products in India is accelerating, with searches for Lego sets on Amazon.in rising 50 per cent year-on-year ahead of Prime Day 2026. The ecommerce platform has responded by launching its largest-ever Lego summer collection, featuring more than 100 new sets across over 30 themes in what marks the brand’s biggest single-month product rollout on Amazon.in.

According to Amazon India, Prime members account for 85 per cent of Lego demand on the platform, while purchase conversions have increased fourfold compared with the previous year. The growth is being driven by a diverse customer base that includes children, adult fans of Lego (AFOL), pop-culture enthusiasts and gift buyers seeking creative and collectible experiences.

Largest Lego Expansion on Amazon.in
The new collection spans popular franchises and themes including Lego Marvel, Lego Harry Potter, Lego Star Wars, Lego Minecraft, Lego NINJAGO and Lego Nintendo. The launch also includes more than 80 premium collector-grade sets aimed at enthusiasts and adult builders.

Among the marquee additions are the Lego Icons How to Train Your Dragon – Toothless set, Lego Star Wars Yoda Bust, Lego Star Wars Grogu, Lego Disney and Pixar Toy Story 5 Blaze’s Horse Ranch, and the officially licensed FIFA World Cup Trophy replica.

Premium Collectibles Drive Growth
The Lego Group said the growing popularity of its products in India reflects rising interest in hands-on creativity, mindful play and collectibles across age groups.

Bhavana Mandon, Country Manager – India at the Lego Group, said demand is being fuelled by consumers seeking opportunities to create, collect and engage with Lego experiences. She noted that partnerships with platforms such as Amazon.in have helped the company reach a broader audience across the country.

Amazon India also highlighted the increasing popularity of premium Lego products. Sets priced above Rs 5,000 are among the fastest-moving categories, with themes such as Technic, Icons and Speed Champions witnessing strong demand beyond metropolitan markets.

Pop Culture and Sports Themes Gain Momentum
The launch comes amid growing interest in pop culture, gaming and sports-inspired collectibles. Amazon said the Lego Speed Champions collection generated a 15-fold increase in customer demand, helping create a new “build-and-collect” segment among India’s expanding motorsport fan base.

The latest range includes products inspired by Ferrari Formula One cars, Ducati motorcycles, Charles Leclerc’s racing helmet, football star Kylian Mbappé and the FIFA World Cup. The collection is expected to benefit from heightened consumer interest surrounding major global sporting events.

Adult Builders Become a Key Consumer Segment
The rise of adult Lego enthusiasts is emerging as a significant growth driver for the category. Premium offerings such as the Lego Star Trek USS Enterprise, Lego Super Mario World, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean ship and Lego ONE PIECE Going Merry pirate ship are targeting collectors looking for display-worthy builds.

Industry observers note that the trend reflects a broader shift towards hobby-led spending, nostalgia-driven purchases and experiential products among urban consumers.

Prime Day Expected to Boost Sales
The expanded collection arrives ahead of Amazon Prime Day 2026, which marks the event’s tenth edition in India. Prime members will gain access to exclusive discounts, faster delivery options and special offers across the newly launched Lego range.

With demand for premium toys, collectibles and creative experiences continuing to rise, both Amazon and the Lego Group are betting on India becoming an increasingly important market for the brand’s global growth ambitions.
