Meesho Reports Record Growth With 187 Mn Users, 1.3 Bn Orders

AI-driven innovation, strategic efficiencies propel Meesho’s growth

Meesho, India’s fastest-growing ecommerce marketplace, has released its first annual report, highlighting significant milestones in user growth, order volume, and profitability.

The platform, which has revolutionised online shopping with AI-driven innovation, recorded 187 million annual transacting users and 1.3 billion orders in the nine months ending December 2024.

In a landmark achievement, Meesho became the first Indian horizontal ecommerce platform to achieve profitability in FY’24, reporting a positive free cash flow of Rs 197 crore.

Strategic cost efficiencies, AI-driven automation, and optimised logistics played a key role in narrowing adjusted losses by 97 per cent, from Rs 1,569 crore to Rs 53 crore.

As India’s most downloaded shopping app for four consecutive years, Meesho continues to expand its reach across diverse product categories. The company’s logistics arm, Valmo, now handles over 50 per cent of daily orders, creating 85,000 jobs while serving 15,000 pincodes with 6,000 logistics partners.

Meesho’s AI-powered ecosystem is redefining ecommerce by enhancing product discovery, personalising user experiences, and strengthening fraud detection. Its Large Language Models (LLMs) refine vernacular searches, while GenAI-driven customer support resolves 90 per cent of queries at one-fifth the cost.

With a zero-commission model, over 400,000 annual transacting sellers, and a commitment to democratising internet commerce, Meesho is shaping the future of Indian ecommerce—scalable, inclusive, and technology-driven.
