Unicommerce integrates ElasticRun’s hyperlocal network to enable same-day and next-day intra-city shipments across six metros
Unicommerce eSolutions has integrated logistics firm ElasticRun into its shipping automation platform Shipway to strengthen same-day and next-day deliveries for ecommerce and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, the companies said on Wednesday. The integration will initially cover intra-city hyperlocal deliveries in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata.
Shipway provides courier aggregation, automated order allocation, tracking and performance analytics for online sellers. By integrating ElasticRun’s network, brands operating multiple fulfilment points, including warehouses and local hubs, can route intra-city shipments through a hyperlocal network without setting up separate infrastructure.
Sandeep Deshmukh, Co-Founder and CEO of ElasticRun, said, “Our integrated platform leverages AI for smarter inventory placement, routing, and last-mile execution across the country. Partnering with Shipway allows us to extend these capabilities to more digital-first brands, helping them meet rising consumer expectations for speed without the complexity of building their own infrastructure”
According to the companies, the current rollout focuses on within-city shipments. They added that the integration is expected to support faster inter-city movements in the future, expanding beyond last-mile operations into broader fulfilment flows.
“As everyday-use categories such as FMCG, personal care, fashion, and essentials become a growing part of India’s retail and e-commerce market, consumer expectations around faster deliveries are increasing. With ElasticRun’s hyperlocal network integrated with Shipway, brands are better placed to meet these needs,” Kapil Makhija, MD and CEO of Unicommerce, said, growing demand in everyday-use categories is reshaping logistics expectations.
