Brand Concepts CEO Abhinav Kumar Talks to BW Retail World on Juicy Couture launch, brand expansion, and India’s rising appetite for premium lifestyle offerings

 

Q. Brand Concepts has recently collaborated with Juicy Couture. What strategic goals does this partnership aim to achieve, and how does it align with your brand portfolio?
A. The launch of Juicy Couture bags marks a significant milestone in our mission to bring iconic global brands to Indian consumers. Juicy Couture, with its glamorous and contemporary vibe, adds a fresh, aspirational brand to our portfolio and appeals to the classic, fashion-forward demographic. Strategically, it strengthens our presence in the premium fashion accessories segment while reinforcing our leadership in brand licensing and retail. We’re launching the brand across Tata Luxe, You, Tata Cliq Luxury, and Ajio Luxe — ensuring high visibility across all major platforms.

 

Q. With your strong presence in the lifestyle and fashion accessories segment, how do you see Brand Concepts Limited positioning itself in an increasingly competitive market?
A. We continue to carve out a distinct space for ourselves by curating globally renowned lifestyle brands and tailoring them to the Indian consumer’s evolving preferences. Our focus is on exceptional design, premium quality, and strong collaborations. By blending international aesthetics with local sensibilities, we’ve built a unique value proposition that clearly sets us apart in a crowded market.

 

Q. Are there any more high-profile collaborations or new brand partnerships in the pipeline for 2025? What categories are you planning to expand into?
A. Absolutely. We’re in active conversations with several global brands and have an exciting pipeline lined up for 2025. Our aim is to move beyond bags and accessories and explore adjacent lifestyle categories to expand our premium presence. These collaborations will reflect our commitment to delivering trend-forward, high-quality products. We genuinely believe that India is now ready for luxury, and we’re looking forward to welcoming a marquee luxury brand into our portfolio.

 

Q. How do you plan to leverage digital channels and omnichannel retail strategies to maximise the reach and impact of these new collaborations?
A. Our launch strategy for Juicy Couture focuses on a robust omnichannel approach. We’re activating a comprehensive digital campaign involving social media, influencer partnerships, and targeted e-commerce promotions to build buzz and engagement. Simultaneously, our premium in-store presence through exclusive brand outlets and high-end retail chains will ensure a curated offline experience. The synergy between online and offline will be key in delivering a seamless and elevated customer journey.
