Newme Opens First Ahmedabad Store, Marking 22 Nationwide

Gen Z fashion-tech brand enters Gujarat with debut outlet at Grace Business Park, Science City, signalling deeper offline expansion in high-growth youth markets

 

Gen Z-focused fashion-tech brand Newme has opened its first store in Ahmedabad, expanding its physical footprint to 22 locations across India. The new outlet is strategically located at Grace Business Park in Science City, a prime commercial hub in the city.

The launch marks Newme’s formal entry into Gujarat’s largest urban market, widely regarded as one of the state’s most culturally vibrant and style-conscious centres. The brand said Ahmedabad already ranks among its top 10 cities for online orders, signalling strong latent demand that it now aims to convert into offline growth.

Gujarat’s evolving youth fashion landscape has been central to the brand’s expansion calculus. Following the strong performance of its Surat store, which recorded significant growth in footfall during its first year, Newme has identified Ahmedabad as a priority market. The company plans to open two to three additional stores in the city by the end of 2026.

The Ahmedabad outlet has been designed as a discovery-led retail space aligned with Gen Z shopping behaviours. Shoppers can access hundreds of globally inspired, trend-first styles, with more than 500 new collections introduced weekly. The format reflects the brand’s inventory-light retail model, supported by real-time trend data and agile supply chain operations to ensure rapid stock rotation and competitive pricing.

Sumit Jasoria, CEO and Co-founder of Newme, said Ahmedabad represents a new generation of consumers who are confident, expressive and globally connected. He added that the store aims to create a seamless blend of technology, trend discovery and self-expression within a physical retail environment.

Founded in 2022, Newme has built its positioning around data-led design, fast turnaround cycles and a digitally integrated ecosystem. The company reports having served over 1.7 million customers nationwide and continues to expand its offline presence across high-intent Gen Z markets.

With its Ahmedabad debut, Newme strengthens its presence in western India, signalling sustained investment in cities demonstrating strong digital traction and youth-driven fashion demand.
