The company is seeing growth across north and south India, where rising fitness awareness and increasing adoption of preventive healthcare are driving category expansion
In line with its expansion strategy, HealthKart, a nutrition and wellness platform, has crossed the milestone of 250 retail stores across 111 cities. The company said that the stores are present across metro cities, tier 1 markets, tier 2 cities and emerging fitness hubs across the country.
The company has witnessed particularly strong growth across north and south India, where rising fitness awareness and increasing adoption of preventive healthcare are driving category expansion. The company said in an official statement that despite the rapid growth of ecommerce, consumer preference for brick-and-mortar retail remains strong in categories.
The company added that consumers continue to show strong preference for key brands within the HealthKart portfolio, including MuscleBlaze, Ronnie Coleman Signature Series (RC), HK Vitals, TrueBasics and Gritzo.
“While digital channels offer convenience and scale, physical stores play an equally important role in helping consumers discover authentic products, seek expert guidance and shop with confidence. From a single store in Delhi to more than 250 stores across 111 cities today, our focus remains on making trusted nutrition and wellness solutions accessible to every Indian,” stated Manish Mangotra, Senior Vice President – Offline, Bright Lifecare.
Consumer motivations have also evolved significantly in recent years, the company pointed out. While muscle gain remains a key purchase driver, customers are increasingly turning to nutrition products for weight management, sports performance, general wellness and active ageing.
While male consumers currently account for approximately 90 per cent of store customers, HealthKart is also witnessing increasing participation from women seeking nutrition and wellness solutions.
