The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of the next financial year (Q1FY26)
Aimed at boosting the efforts in the transformation journey of its Beauty and Wellbeing portfolio towards evolving and higher growth demand spaces, Hindustan Unilever or HUL has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the premium actives-led beauty brand Minimalist.
HUL will acquire a 90.5 per cent stake in the company through a combination of secondary buyouts and primary infusion with a path to acquire the balance stake in two years. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of the next financial year (Q1FY26).

The company added that Founded by Mohit Yadav and Rahul Yadav, Minimalist has delivered profitable growth since its inception. The business has scaled to cross an Annual Revenue Runrate (ARR) of Rs 500 crore in a span of four years

In a release, HUL stated that Minimalist will join the portfolio of brands in its Beauty and Wellbeing division led by Harman Dhillon, Executive Director, of Beauty and Wellbeing at HUL. The current Minimalist team led by Mohit and Rahul will continue to operate the business in collaboration with HUL, as per the statement.
