Funskool India, a toy manufacturer, has notified the appointment of K A Shabir as its Chief Operating Officer effective from 1 January 2025. Shabir has been associated with Funskool for over three decades and as a techno-commercial expert, led many departments in the company promoted by the MRF Group.
Shabir has led departments such as Factory Operation, Manufacturing, International Business and New Product development while driving organisational growth. He served as the Vice President- International Division and Manufacturing before being appointed as CEO, the transition which marks a new chapter in Funskool’s journey.
“Funskool pioneered the concept of quality and safety in toys and has been instrumental in raising the standards of toys in India. To lead this 39-year-old organisation which has many firsts to its credit at a time when it is expanding rapidly, is an honour. As a team, we will bring out interesting and innovative creations to make playtime a delight for children,” K A Shabir stated as per the reports.
Under his leadership, the company is eyeing to drive innovation in product development, explore new markets, win more marquee customers from across the globe, use the best technologies to improve toy manufacturing as well as further its sustainability initiatives and redefine the toy industry, as per the statement.
