Bikaji Foods Q1 Revenue Rises 12.5%, Western Snacks Grow 21.3%

Bikaji Foods International Q3 Profit Soars 15%, Festive Season Boosts Sweets Sales

Bikaji Foods posted double-digit revenue growth in Q1 FY27, supported by volume gains, stronger Western Snacks sales and wider distribution, despite pressure on profitability from input costs

 

Bikaji Foods International reported a 12.5 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue from operations to Rs 734.3 crore in the first quarter of FY27, with volume growth of 7.7 per cent during the quarter ended 30 June 2026.

Ebitda increased 2.8 per cent year-on-year to Rs 99 crore, while profit after tax rose 1.6 per cent to Rs 59.5 crore. Ebitda margin stood at 13.5 per cent, compared with 14.8 per cent in the corresponding quarter last year.

Gross margin improved 70 basis points year-on-year to 35.7 per cent. Bikaji said the improvement was supported by pricing actions, product mix and procurement measures, while the company continued to face inflation in key raw materials.

“Despite persistent inflation in key raw materials, we improved our gross margins by 70 bps YoY at 35.7 per cent, a testament to the discipline of our procurement and manufacturing teams and the pricing and mix actions we have taken,” said Deepak Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bikaji Foods International.

Western Snacks Revenue Grows 21.3%
Ethnic Snacks remained the company’s largest category, contributing around 76 per cent of revenue. Revenue from the segment increased 11.4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 515.3 crore.

Western Snacks recorded the highest growth among the reported categories, with revenue increasing 21.3 per cent to Rs 68.4 crore. During the quarter, Bikaji launched five products in the category and expanded its presence across quick-commerce and e-commerce platforms, including Blinkit, Zepto and Instamart.

Packaged Sweets revenue increased 4.4 per cent to Rs 43.4 crore, while Papad revenue declined 6.5 per cent to Rs 33.1 crore.

Direct Distribution Coverage
Bikaji added more than 17,000 outlets to its direct distribution network during the quarter, taking direct coverage to around 3.71 lakh outlets. Its overall distribution reach stood at 14.46 lakh outlets as of 30 June. Revenue from focus markets increased 18.9 per cent year-on-year to Rs 97.5 crore. Core markets, which account for more than 72 per cent of revenue, grew 10.8 per cent to Rs 492.7 crore.

Exports declined 2.2 per cent year-on-year to Rs 29 crore during the quarter.

The company had installed manufacturing capacity of 325,320 metric tonnes across categories as of 30 June. Its retail store network stood at 28 stores, compared with 15 stores a year earlier.

Bikaji said it would continue investing in manufacturing capacity, distribution and new product development during the year. “We remain sharply focused on operational efficiency even as we continue to invest behind capacity, distribution, and new product development,” Agarwal said.
