Broadway Appoints Sankalp Kathuria As Co-founder And CEO

Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President at Zomato, where he drove growth for Zomato Dining across India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

As Broadway India gears up to scale its retail model, the company has appointed Sankalp Kathuria as Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kathuria brings hands-on experience across every stage of the growth journey, from launching new ventures to scaling established businesses.

Broadway has notified this strategic leadership transition as Vivek Biyani assumes the role of Investor and Chairman of the Board. Newly appointed CEO Sankalp Kathuria will drive the brand’s next phase of growth and innovation. Leveraging its unique retail format, Broadway aims to expand its footprint.

Kathuria, a Kellogg School of Management MBA and BITS Pilani Mechanical Engineering Honours graduate, has led transformative roles spanning P&L management, strategy, and operations. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President at Zomato, where he drove growth for Zomato Dining across India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Before Zomato, he was a Consultant at Bain & Company in Delhi.

“I am excited to bring my learnings from building online businesses into the world of physical retail, creating spaces where consumers discover, connect, and fall in love with new-age brands. The last few months have been about assembling a strong foundation team and putting the right systems in place gearing up for new launches, new geographic expansions, brand partners on board and the ever evolving experiences,” highlighted Sankalp Kathuria, CEO and Co-founder, Broadway India.

Broadway currently operates two flagship stores in Delhi and Hyderabad and is now gearing up to expand its footprint with upcoming experiential outlets in Pune and Mumbai. As per the official statement, the vision is to reinvent offline retail for the digitally savvy generation, creating immersive spaces where technology, design, and curated brand experiences come together.
