Revenue grows 20.9 per cent to Rs 4,298 crore in Q2 FY27, while Ebitda margin falls to 20.4 per cent from 23.9 per cent a year earlier amid higher input costs and repeated Fevicol price hikes
Pidilite Industries reported a 6.2 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 615 crore for the second quarter of FY27, compared with Rs 579 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, according to an exchange filing on Wednesday.
Revenue from operations rose 20.9 per cent to Rs 4,298 crore in the September quarter, up from Rs 3,554 crore a year earlier. However, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) grew at a slower pace, increasing 3.2 per cent to Rs 878 crore from Rs 850 crore in the year-ago period.
The slower growth in Ebitda weighed on profitability margins. Ebitda margin narrowed to 20.4 per cent in Q2 FY27 from 23.9 per cent in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The earnings come amid higher input costs for the adhesives manufacturer, which has undertaken multiple price revisions across its Fevicol product range this year.
Pidilite Raises Fevicol Prices Amid Higher Input Costs
Pidilite increased prices by Rs 5 per kg across several Fevicol adhesive products in October, marking its third price increase this year, according to channel checks. The latest revision followed a reported 40–50 per cent rise in raw material costs. The October price increase covered products including Fevicol Moist Resistant (MR), Fevicol SH Synthetic Resin Adhesive, Fevicol Marine and Fevicol Probond.
Earlier in the year, the company raised prices by Rs 10 per kg in May-June, followed by a further increase of Rs 26 per kg in July. It subsequently introduced a discount of Rs 10 per kg in August before implementing the latest price hike in October.
The successive price revisions come against the backdrop of elevated input costs, while the contraction in Ebitda margin indicates pressure on operating profitability despite strong revenue growth.
