Cantabil Q1 Profit Rises 11% On Higher Revenue

Revenue grows 13 per cent to Rs 178.8 crore, while Ebitda jumps 21 per cent and margin expands to 33.2 per cent

Cantabil Retail India reported an 11 per cent year-on-year rise in standalone profit after tax (Pat) to Rs 16.3 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, compared with Rs 14.7 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The apparel retailer’s revenue from operations rose 13 per cent to Rs 178.8 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 158.7 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) grew 21 per cent to Rs 59.4 crore from Rs 49 crore, with Ebitda margin improving to 33.2 per cent from 30.8 per cent in Q1 FY26.

Cantabil recorded same-store sales growth (SSSG) of 4.04 per cent in Q1 FY27, indicating continued growth across its existing retail network. The company said the performance reflected consumer traction, improving store productivity and the strength of its brands across markets.

“During Q1, the Company reported healthy revenue growth and maintained industry-leading operating margins, reflecting disciplined cost management and scale efficiencies,” said Vijay Bansal, Chairman and Managing Director, Cantabil Retail India. Bansal said the positive SSSG highlighted “strong consumer traction, improving store productivity” and the strength of the company’s brands across markets.

Retail Footprint
The company had 667 exclusive brand outlets at the end of Q1 FY27. Cantabil said its priorities for FY27 include operational efficiency, digital capabilities, customer engagement and strengthening its position in India’s value-fashion segment. The retailer also plans to expand its retail footprint, drive product innovation and use consumer insights to support future growth.

Cantabil, which designs, manufactures, brands and retails apparel under its own brand, operates a manufacturing facility in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, with an annual production capacity of 18 lakh garment pieces.
