The reports state that Carlsberg India’s total investment in the Mysuru facility will increase to Rs 600 crore with this latest infusion
Aimed at expanding its brewery, Carlsberg India will be investing Rs 350 crore in Mysuru, Karnataka. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka government at Invest Karnataka 2025, as per the reports.
Building on the already invested Rs 250 crore, Carlsberg India’s total investment in the facility will increase to Rs 600 crore with this latest infusion. As per the reports, the expansion is aimed at enhancing production capacity as well meeting the growing consumer demand in the area.
Currently producing 80 million liters annually, the brewery which is situated on a 28-acre site in Nanjangud taluk, manufactures Carlsberg and Tuborg products. As per the media reports, the expansion will introduce a new can line which will boost packaged beer production. This will also include a glass line to boost bottled beer output.
In addition to this, the reports added that a keg line will enhance the draught beer supply capabilities of the brewery. The company sees this investment as a key factor which will not only contribute to economic growth but also generate additional employment opportunities in the years to come. The company is eyeing to strengthen its position in the premium beer segment while contributing to the state’s development on the economic front.
