Colgate Palmolive India’s Q1 Sales Up 12%, Profit Rises To Rs 343 Cr

Colgate-Palmolive India Reports Strong Q1 Earnings, Shares Hit All-Time High

Company’s gross margin reached 69.7 per cent in Q1FY27, representing a year-on-year increase of 110 basis points (bps)

Colgate Palmolive (India) has reported a 7 per cent year-on-year uptick in its net profit in the first quarter of the current financial year. The net profit rose to Rs 343.08 crore in Q1FY27 from Rs 320.62 crore in Q1FY26.

The financial results of the company revealed that revenue from operations rose to Rs 1,590.56 crore in Q1FY27 from Rs 1,420.64 crore in the corresponding period of the last financial year (Q1FY26), marking an uptick of 12 per cent. Sales, net of goods and services tax (GST), for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 increased by 12 per cent on a YoY basis.

“We are pleased to report another quarter of strong and competitive performance led by continued growth momentum across the entire portfolio. Our toothpaste portfolio achieved robust, high-single-digit volume growth, driven by stellar performance in premium toothpaste, alongside a sustained growth in our core portfolio,” said Prabha Narasimhan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Colgate-Palmolive (India).

The MD added that the company’s gross margin reached 69.7 per cent in Q1FY27, representing a year-on-year increase of 110 basis points (bps). The company leveraged these strong margins to increase its focused investments in brand building and category premiumisation throughout the quarter. Moving forward, it expects to grow sustainably, fuelled by its science-backed products, supported by continued investment in advertising.

Amidst the geopolitical uncertainties and their impact on commodity price volatility, the company remains focused on actively managing its margin profile through a combination of cost savings, she pointed out. Expanding its sensorial portfolio, the company rolled out Colgate MaxFresh Berry Blast. Within its toothbrush portfolio, it expanded its premium offerings by introducing the Colgate Total Active Prevention Foaming Clean Toothbrush.
