After serving as the Chief Business Officer of Decorative Paints at JSW Paints for over a year, Ashish Rai has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the company’s Decorative Paints Division, effective July 2025.
Taking to LinkedIn, Rai wrote, “I am happy to share that I am starting a new position as Chief Executive Officer, Decorative Paints at JSW Paints.” In his new role, Rai will be handling the full responsibility for the profit and loss of the decorative paints business, he added in his job description on LinkedIn.
In his role as CBO, he was leading the sales and marketing teams of JSW Paints decorative business. With over two decades of experience in consumer goods, business-to-business (B2B) ecommerce and digital transformation, Rai brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.
Before joining JSW Paints, Rai spent 18 years at Unilever, holding senior leadership roles across multiple regions, including India, Asia, Africa and Latin America. He led digital initiatives in 23 markets, and spearheaded efforts to digitise small retail operations.
Rai also served as Managing Director at Unilever Nepal and held roles in modern trade and retail transformation. Earlier, he started his career as a software engineer at Infosys and later worked with Colgate-Palmolive, where he stayed for almost four years.
