Patanjali Foods Slashes Prices Post GST Rate Revisions

Reports note that the revised prices include the complete range of food and non-food categories

Aimed at passing on the benefits of Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate reductions to the consumers, Patanjali Foods has reduced the retail prices (MRPs) of various products across categories. The company has slashed prices of Nutrela soya chunks.

Reports noted that the revised prices include the complete range of food and non-food categories. Nutrela Chunks, Mini Chunks and Granules (one kilogram pack) will now be sold at Rs 190 as compared to Rs 210 earlier. 200 gram packs will reflect a reduction of Rs 3. The MRP of 35 gram Doodh biscuits will now retail at Rs 4.5 from Rs 5 earlier. The MRP of Patanjali Twisty Tasty noodles (50 gram) has been reduced to Rs 9.35 from Rs 10 earlier.

Dant Kanti natural toothpaste will now be sold at Rs 106 from Rs 120 for the 200 gram pack. The company has reduced the prices of oral care and hair care as well. The reports noted that Kesh Kanti amla hair oil price has been brought down to Rs 42 from the earlier MRP of Rs 48. In its dairy portfolio, the rates of cow’s ghee (900 ml) to Rs 732 from the earlier price of Rs 780, the reports highlighted.

With the festive season around the corner, softer price tags are set to lift consumer sentiment and fuel demand across categories. For companies, it marks both a compliance relief and a growth catalyst. On the other hand, it promises a festive boost to affordability and choice for households.
