The Evaluation Process: Defining Influence and Impact
As leadership expert and business consultant Ken Blanchard puts it, the key to successful leadership today is influence, not authority. To ensure that the list comprises those who have the right influence, the BW editorial team engaged with independent industry experts and followed an evaluation process.
Leaders were evaluated on leadership and influence, industry impact, sustained excellence, barrier-breaking achievements in male-dominated spaces, first-of-its-kind contributions, contributions to nurturing the next generation of leaders, fostering inclusivity, and advocating for important causes. This year’s list also considered leaders who upheld strong governance, ethical business practices and sustainable impact. The list was designed to ensure inclusion across industries, regions, and backgrounds to highlight a broad spectrum of leadership.
