Popeyes Expands Footprint In North India With New Restaurant

This marks the brand’s fifth restaurant serving the Chandigarh–Mohali–Panchkula Tricity

Popeyes, the Louisiana-born fried chicken brand, has opened a new restaurant at Elante Mall, Chandigarh. This marks the brand’s fifth restaurant serving the Chandigarh–Mohali–Panchkula Tricity, reinforcing Popeyes’ focused expansion across high-growth markets in North India.

The brand stated that Punjab Tricity remains a priority market within its expansion roadmap, supported by steady consumer demand and consistent performance across existing restaurants in the region. The statement added that at the newly opened Elante Mall outlet, consumers can experience the brand’s signature Louisiana-style Cajun flavours and its globally recognised crunchy fried chicken.

“Punjab is a key growth market for us, given its openness to global brands and strong preference for bold, indulgent flavours. The encouraging response across the Tricity region validates our strategy of expanding thoughtfully in markets with high brand affinity. This new store launch in Chandigarh is an important step forward as we continue scaling Popeyes across North India,” stated Gaurav Pande, Executive Vice President and Business Head, Popeyes India.

To build a stronger cultural connection in Punjab, Popeyes has collaborated with popular Punjabi singer and actor Jassie Gill as part of a digital-first social media integration. Operated in India by Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, Popeyes is on a rapid growth path and is focusing on building aspiration, fandom and consistent retail presence across priority cities, the statement added.
