Driven by new services, Rapido, an urban mobility startup, has seen its gross order value (GOV) rise rapidly to reach USD 1.25 billion in the financial year 2025 (FY25), as per media reports. However, the reports noted that the company has drifted further from profitability in recent times.
The reports added that the company is fulfilling around 3 to 3.5 million per day across its different platforms. While the company has been eating into Ola’s share in the four-wheeler segment, the reports highlighted that Rapido has gained prominence and captured around 40 per cent of market share across ride-hailing form factors.
The company’s four-wheeler ride-hailing service will be expanded to 500 cities across the country, as per the reports, which highlighted that the company had also raised USD 200 million in a funding round last year.
Earlier, the company had around 20 per cent market share in the four-wheeler ride-hailing segment, which is dominated by Uber and Ola. The company has been gaining ground on a regular basis, the reports noted.
