Sapphire Foods has appointed Vikrant Vohra, presently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pizza Hut Business, to the position of President and CEO of the KFC Business, with effect from 25 July 2026.
The appointment follows the resignation of Deepak Taluja, who has decided to move on from the position of President and CEO of KFC Business with effect from the close of business hours of 24 July 2026. The company has also appointed Saurabh Girdhar as the Assistant Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Pizza Hut Business with effect from 25 July 2026. Girdhar is presently serving as the COO of Pizza Hut Business in Bangalore and Kerala.
“I remain fully committed to discharging my responsibilities during the notice period and to ensuring an orderly and effective handover of my duties. I am happy to assist in the transition of key responsibilities, documentation of critical processes, and the induction of my successor or any designated colleague, to the satisfaction of the management,” Taluja wrote in the resignation letter.
Deepak Taluja, in his present capacity, will continue to discharge his duties and responsibilities during the notice period, up to the close of business hours of 24 July 2026. On the other hand, Vohra has been associated with major hospitality brands such as The Park, Hyatt, Taj and Marriot International for nearly two decades. At Sapphire Foods, Vikrant Vohra has successfully led operations at Karnataka, Kerala and West India Markets for KFC, before leading the Pizza Hut business in India, as CEO.
On the other hand, Girdhar is a hotel management graduate with over 17 years of experience in the QSR industry. He was previously associated with Yum India, Devyani International, in various capacities, before joining Sapphire Foods.
