Satyen Momaya Takes Charge As CEO PVH Arvind Fashion

Former Celio India chief to lead Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein in India; Amisha Jain to take helm of Arvind Fashions from 13 August

Satyen Momaya has officially taken over as CEO of PVH Arvind Fashion, the joint venture that oversees the India operations of global fashion giants Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. His appointment, effective 1 August 2025, comes shortly before Amisha Jain assumes her role as Managing Director and CEO of Arvind Fashions on 13 August—ushering in a strategic leadership alignment across the organisation.

PVH Arvind was established in March 2014 as a collaboration between Arvind Fashions and US-based PVH Corp., integrating brand licensing, sourcing, and retail operations for the two iconic labels. Arvind holds a majority equity stake in the venture, while PVH retains control of global brand and design functions. Tommy Hilfiger made its Indian debut in 2004, followed by Calvin Klein in 2007.

As of 31 March 2024, the JV operated 221 exclusive brand outlets across India—136 under Tommy Hilfiger and 85 for Calvin Klein—alongside a growing network of shop-in-shops in department stores and a robust e-commerce presence across both metros and smaller cities.

The brands continue to be pillars of Arvind Fashions’ “Power Brands” portfolio, which generated Rs 3,239 crore in FY24, registering a 10.7 per cent year-on-year growth. Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein together contributed an estimated 30–35 per cent of this revenue, highlighting their importance in India’s Rs 70,000 crore premium apparel market.

Globally, PVH has led the charge in fashion tech, introducing platforms like Stitch 3D to digitise product development—achieving 80 per cent digital design adoption at Tommy Hilfiger by 2021. Calvin Klein, meanwhile, has pushed sustainability through the use of regenerative materials like Infinna and continues to gain traction in India as a clean, minimalist lifestyle brand.

Satyen Momaya brings significant retail and brand-building experience to the table. At Celio India, he tripled the store count, launched over 75 exclusive brand outlets, and steered the company into profitability—even through the pandemic. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at Levi Strauss, building his expertise in India’s evolving denim and casualwear market.

His appointment signals an ambitious push to elevate PVH Arvind’s position in India’s increasingly competitive premium fashion segment, where Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein go head-to-head with brands such as Levi’s, Superdry, GANT, US Polo Assn., and entry-tier Emporio Armani.

With an omnichannel strategy at the core, and pricing that balances aspiration and accessibility—ranging from Rs 2,500 to Rs 15,000—the two labels are poised to deepen their market reach under Momaya’s leadership. His retail-savvy approach, paired with Amisha Jain’s strategic oversight at the group level, is expected to sharpen brand focus, improve execution, and strengthen Arvind Fashions’ premium portfolio across India.
