Aimed at catering to India’s growing base of premium consumers, Swiggy has introduced a travel and lifestyle concierge app. The rollout is currently on a pilot basis, and access is by invitation only, as per the information about the app on Google Play Store.
Through Crew, the company has marked its entry into a new business segment after food delivery, quick commerce, dining out and professional services. Beyond simply suggesting itineraries, the app helps users plan their trips and involves human concierges in addition to generative artificial intelligence (AI).
Reports noted that the app offers personalised services such as assistance with international driving permits, bespoke travel planning and curated gift sourcing with specific budgets. Earlier, Swiggy had started testing Rare Life, a personalised concierge service. The project, intended for elite and exclusive experiences, was discontinued by the company.
In an earlier development, Swiggy introduced a new consumer app, Pyng, marking its entry into the growing professional services market. The artificial intelligence (AI)-driven platform is designed to simplify access to verified professionals across over 100 specialisations, the company stated.
Pyng is an online marketplace designed to address the increasing yet unmet demands of urban consumers who are often overwhelmed by endless online searches for reliable, skilled professionals, the company highlighted. It aims to onboard over 10,000 experts nationwide. By leveraging advanced AI, a curated network of experts and a customer-centric approach, Pyng eyes making access to verified professionals smoother.
