Varun Beverages To Acquire South Africa’s Crickley Dairy

Varun Beverages Invests Rs 1100 Cr In Greenfiled Project, Expands Capacity

The acquisition is line with the company’s strategy to diversify its product portfolio into new categories

Varun Beverages, a franchisee of PepsiCo, said that its subsidiary The Beverage Company Proprietary (Bevco) will acquire Crickley Dairy Proprietary for Rs 131.47 crore. Bevco has executed an agreement on 17 March 2026 for the acquisition of 100 per cent equity stake of the company, as per an exchange filing.

Varun Beverages informed in a regulatory filing that it will acquire the company from Clark Holdings Proprietary, the parent company of Crickley Dairy Proprietary. The acquisition is line with the company’s strategy to diversify its product portfolio into new categories viz. value-added dairy and juice based drinks.

“We would like to inform you that The Beverage Company Proprietary (Bevco), subsidiary of Varun Beverages, has executed an agreement dated 17 March 2026 at 1:53 PM India time for acquisition of 100 per cent equity stake of Crickley Dairy Proprietary (Crickley) (incorporated in South Africa), subject to regulatory and other approvals (if any) including but not limited to Competition Commissions of South Africa,” the official statement added.

Last year, the company informed that it will acquire 100 per cent stake in the business conducted by Twizza, South Africa through its subsidiary company in South Africa. Twizza is engaged in the business of manufacturing and distribution of own-branded nonalcoholic beverages.

Twizza achieved sales volumes of 71 million cases and net revenue of around Rs 9,01.9 crore in June ending FY25. Proposed transaction is valued at around Rs 1,118.7 crore.
