Welspun Living’s Q2 Revenue Rises 16.3%, Profit Jumps 13-Fold

Ebita more than doubled to Rs 338 crore, with domestic business growing 28.2 per cent and home textiles exports rising 18.3 per cent

Welspun Living reported a nearly 13-fold year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 170 crore in the September quarter of FY27, compared with Rs 14 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations grew 16.3 per cent to Rs 2,838 crore from Rs 2,441 crore, driven by growth across its domestic and export businesses.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) more than doubled to Rs 338 crore during the quarter, against Rs 153.3 crore a year earlier. Ebitda margin also expanded to 11.9 per cent from 6.3 per cent in the year-ago period.

The company’s domestic business registered 28.2 per cent year-on-year growth, while home textiles exports increased 18.3 per cent. Its Welspun brand grew 37 per cent, and the flooring business recorded a 19.3 per cent increase in revenue.

On a sequential basis, consolidated net profit rose 4.34 per cent to Rs 169.66 crore from Rs 162.61 crore in the June quarter. Revenue from operations increased 1.5 per cent from Rs 2,795.45 crore, while total expenses grew 1.1 per cent from Rs 2,609.15 crore.

Welspun Living also reported an improvement in its financial position, moving to a net-cash position from net debt of Rs 775 crore in March 2026. Its cash conversion cycle declined to 44 days from 82 days over the same period.

The September-quarter results included an exceptional charge of Rs 7.16 crore linked to disruption at the company’s Vapi facility following heavy rainfall and flooding. Operations at the plant were affected from July 23.

During the quarter, the company received an on-account insurance payment of Rs 125 crore. It also recognised inventory write-offs, damage to property, plant and equipment, and restoration expenses, net of insurance recoveries, amounting to Rs 7.16 crore.

Commenting on the results, Dipali Goenka, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Welspun Group, said, “Q2 FY27 reflects our continued progress in driving profitable growth and strengthening our financial position.”

She said the company remained focused on sustaining double-digit growth, maintaining margins in the low teens, improving returns on capital and generating strong cash flows.

“While the external environment remains dynamic and restoration of our Vapi operations remains a near-term priority, we will continue to invest selectively in capabilities, innovation, brands and sustainability to strengthen our competitive position and create long-term value for our stakeholders,” Goenka said.
