The race to deliver food in 10 minutes is picking up pace as the companies are now introducing standalone apps to tap the market
Highlighting that the food delivery app of Zepto has registered growth, the company’s Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Aadit Palicha stated that Zepto Café has crossed 50,000 orders per day in just four weeks. Palicha added that this marked a 60 per cent month-on-month growth.
“In December, I posted that we launched a new app for Zepto Café (food delivered in 10 minutes), which was doing 30,000 orders per day. Just four weeks later, we have crossed 50,000 orders per day – that is 60 per cent month-on-month growth. More importantly, customer retention is strong even as we are scaling,” Palicha shared on LinkedIn.
The Co-founder added that Café reminds him of Zepto’s early days three years ago. Expressing this, he wrote, “Clear product-market-fit, multiplier growth, and an unbelievably talented team behind the execution. Personally, I believe this is the next big innovation in Indian quick commerce and Consumer Internet, and Zepto is just getting started.”
The race to deliver food in 10 minutes is picking up pace as the companies are now introducing standalone apps to tap the market. On Friday, Blinkit introduced ‘Bistro, a separate app to deliver food within minutes. Swiggy has also rolled out SNACC, a standalone app to do the same, even though it is still in limited areas.
