The newly introduced feature offers a 15 day repayment cycle designed for daily grocery behaviour and is fully embedded into the app
Emphasising that quick commerce is moving from fast delivery to behaviour-led commerce, Zepto has introduced a pay later facility and real-time images of fresh produce. The company has introduced a suite of new in-app features.
The newly introduced feature offers a 15 day repayment cycle designed for daily grocery behaviour and is fully embedded into the app. The feature is designed for high-frequency, low-value orders and requires one tap at checkout without the need for one-time passwords (OTPs). The service provides instant credit of up to Rs 10,000.
“Meet Zepto Pay Later, a BNPL experience built completely inside the Zepto app. Shopping is now going to be smoother than ever. It is already live for a small percentage, and we plan to scale this up to the entire user base very soon,” Kaivalya Vohra, Co-founder, Zepto, said in a LinkedIn post.
The company has also introduced ‘Real Lens’, allowing users to access daily-updated, timestamped photographs of fresh produce from their nearby stores. This allows the users to toggle between catalogue and actual images.
In addition, the company has also rolled out an ‘add after checkout’ function, to allow customers to add include forgotten items into the existing order within a given time window without having to place a new order.
