The new Salt Lake outlet is the brand’s seventh café in Kolkata and features a hybrid format combining food, beverages and work-friendly spaces
Barista Coffee has expanded its retail network to 555 cafés with the launch of a new outlet in Salt Lake, Kolkata. The opening marks the homegrown coffee chain’s seventh café in the city and strengthens its presence in the eastern Indian market.
The new outlet introduces a hybrid café format, combining an expanded food and beverage menu with spaces designed for work, meetings and social interactions. The concept aims to position the café as more than a conventional coffee destination, catering to customers seeking flexible spaces for both professional and social engagements.
Expanded Food And Beverage Menu
The Salt Lake café offers a range of beverages, including Barista’s signature drinks, protein coffee, matcha and bubble tea. Its food menu features gourmet sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, rolls and English breakfast options.
The offering is designed to cater to different customer preferences, from quick coffee breaks and casual meals to longer visits for work or socialising. The outlet also provides an alternative workspace for work-from-home professionals, along with an environment for groups to meet and collaborate.
The hybrid format reflects the evolving role of cafés as spaces that bring together food, work and community.

Commenting on the milestone, Rajat Agrawal, CEO, Barista Coffee, said reaching 555 cafés was a significant achievement for the company and reflected the trust of its customers, the efforts of its teams and the commitment of its partners.
