Waayu Brings Full-stack Restaurant Ecosystem, Eyes 25% Ebitda Margin

The company projects generating recurring revenue from franchisee owner operators through its subscription model and intends to onboard 8,000 restaurants by FY27

Waayu, a zero per cent commission foodtech platform, has introduced an entire ecosystem for restaurants. Waayu’s integrated stack includes point of sale, QR code, contactless ordering, Whatsapp ordering, Waayu franchise and restaurant mandi, AI driven delivery management, AI-enabled delivery management via a single subscription model at Rs 999 per month.

For the next financial year, Waayu has created an aggressive growth strategic plan with an expected revenue of approximately Rs 10 crore. Waayu has identified an Ebitda goal of achieving 25 per cent margin by the end of the fourth quarter of FY27. The company projects generating recurring revenue from franchisee owner operators through its subscription model and intends to onboard 8,000 restaurants by FY27.

“Zero commission was the disruption. The ecosystem is the transformation. Restaurants do not just need lower costs; they also need ownership, technology and predictable profitability. That is what we are building,” stated Anirudha Kotgire, Managing Director and Co-founder of Waayu.

The official statement added that Waayu’s technology platform provides restaurants significant savings by reducing on-site worker staffing requirements, lowering lost operational revenues, maintaining total ownership of customer data, and streamlining the supply process. It helps in generating an estimated yearly total cost savings of over Rs 1.5 to 2 lakh per outlet.

“The rapid pace of our franchisee growth in less than six months confirms that there is a huge demand for an alternative food delivery system in the market. As we continue to show excellent growth during this fiscal year, we are being proactive in developing infrastructure that will be beneficial to our restaurant and partner community, along with our customer base,” highlighted Mandar Lande, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Waayu.

Just in less than six months since its introduction, Waayu has added over 50 franchised partners throughout different regions and is rapidly executing its hyperlocal expansion plans. The company’s projection of strong revenue growth from subscriptions, franchise expansion, and ecosystem partnerships will dominate next year’s financial results.
