Allcargo Cuts Month-End Close Time By 30% With Oracle Cloud

The logistics company has moved more than 4,000 users across 700-plus operating units to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, automating finance and procurement processes

Allcargo Logistics has reduced its month-end financial closing time by 30% after migrating its finance operations to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, as the logistics company seeks to improve operational efficiency and strengthen financial controls through automation.

The Mumbai-headquartered company has consolidated finance processes for more than 4,000 users and over 700 operating units on a single integrated platform using Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The implementation is aimed at reducing manual work, improving financial reporting and supporting the company’s expansion through a scalable, digitally enabled operating model.

Cloud Migration Streamlines Finance Operations
Founded in 1993, Allcargo Logistics operates more than 700 facilities across India, serving customers in sectors including e-commerce, automobiles and pharmaceuticals. The company moved away from legacy on-premises systems to a cloud-based platform to support its growing operational requirements and improve access to real-time information.

The Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation has helped standardise finance processes across its operations, automate routine tasks and strengthen governance. The reduction in month-end closing time is expected to free up resources for analysis and decision-making rather than manual processing.

“With Oracle Fusion Applications for finance, we have been able to bring more than 4,000 users and over 700 operating units onto a single integrated platform,” said Sanjay Khiyani, chief information officer at Allcargo Logistics.

He said digital transformation remained central to the company’s long-term growth strategy and its focus on operational excellence.

Procurement Automation Expands Digital Push
Alongside finance, Allcargo Logistics is using Oracle Fusion Cloud Procurement to automate end-to-end purchasing processes and provide teams with a consistent view of procurement activity across its distributed operations.

The integration is intended to improve visibility into purchasing decisions, streamline workflows and strengthen controls across the organisation. By standardising processes on a common cloud platform, the company aims to improve coordination between operating units and make business information more accessible.

Oracle said its cloud applications incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and agentic applications designed to automate routine activities and help move work through business processes. These tools are intended to allow employees to focus more on decisions and priorities requiring human judgement.

“As customer expectations continue to rise and supply chains become more dynamic, logistics providers need applications that can increasingly take on more of the work required to keep their operations moving,” said Shailesh Singla, vice-president, Cloud Applications, Oracle India.

Technology To Support Logistics Growth
Allcargo Logistics’ technology investment comes as logistics providers face growing demand for faster, more transparent and digitally enabled services. A unified cloud platform can help companies manage complex operations, standardise reporting and improve oversight across geographically dispersed businesses.

The implementation was managed by Grant Thornton Bharat, an Oracle PartnerNetwork partner.

Allcargo Logistics has a nationwide network covering all of India’s districts and offers services spanning express distribution, air freight, e-commerce logistics and first- and last-mile delivery. Its broader digital transformation strategy is intended to support customers ranging from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to large businesses.

The company has also set a group-level target of achieving 100% carbon neutrality by 2040, with investments in technology, processes and operations forming part of its wider sustainability commitments.
