Ambuja Cements, a key player within the Adani Group specialising in cement and building materials, has announced a substantial investment of Rs 6,000 crore dedicated to renewable energy projects.
Their ambitious goal is to establish a robust capacity of 1,000 MW by leveraging solar and wind power initiatives.
This investment plan spans across strategic locations in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Specifically, Ambuja Cements detailed their project lineup, which encompasses a 600 MW Solar Power project and a 150 MW Wind Power project in Gujarat.
Additionally, they aim to launch a 250 MW Solar Power project in Rajasthan. These details were disclosed in a regulatory filing made by Ambuja Cements, underscoring their commitment to renewable energy ventures.
The company has set an ambitious timeline for these initiatives, aiming for completion by the fiscal year 2026. As part of this timeline, they are targeting to achieve 200 MW of this capacity by March 2024.
This endeavor will supplement Ambuja Cements’ existing renewable energy portfolio, which currently stands at 84 MW comprising Solar & Wind Power installations.
