The 1 lakh sq. ft. facility is expected to begin operations in October and produce up to 60,000 air coolers a month
Summercool Home Appliances will invest around Rs 50 crore to set up a 1 lakh sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, with commercial operations expected to begin in October 2026.
Located in the Meerut Road Industrial Area, the facility will have the capacity to manufacture around 50,000–60,000 air coolers a month, the company said on Tuesday.
The plant is expected to create more than 500 direct and indirect employment opportunities. Around 200–300 direct jobs will be generated at the facility, while another 200 positions are expected across supply chain, logistics and distribution.
The facility will manufacture air coolers under the Summercool brand and also undertake contract manufacturing for other appliance brands, expanding the company’s original equipment manufacturing (OEM) business.
“This new manufacturing facility marks a major milestone in our growth journey and reflects our commitment to Uttar Pradesh’s growing industrial ecosystem,” said Ashutosh Gupta, Director of Sales and Marketing, Summercool Home Appliances.
The company said it has also planned a second phase of expansion, which will include additional manufacturing facilities and further investment in production infrastructure and technology.
As The company issued statement, the new plant is expected to help Summercool increase its air-cooler production capacity and cater to demand across the Indian market.
