Reliance Jio has expanded its AirFiber FWA (Fixed-Wireless Access) service in 115 new cities across India. The service has been made available in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and West Bengal. Earlier this service was launched in September for just eight cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
Jio AirFiber service gives internet access without optical fibre cables and can be installed in areas with 5G coverage. It delivers high-speed internet up to 1.5 Gbps and includes features such as Wi-Fi 6, parental controls and a built-in security firewall, making it suitable for both home and office use.
Jio AirFiber offers a choice of three plans, each priced at Rs 599, Rs 899 and Rs 1199 per month. These plans provide internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps and access to over 550 digital channels and 14 OTT apps. The Rs 1199 plan includes complimentary subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon Prime and JioCinema Premium.
Meanwhile, Jio AirFiber Max offers three premium plans at Rs 1499, Rs 2499 and Rs 3999 per month, with internet speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps. Like the standard AirFiber plans, these also provide access to over 550 digital channels and 14 OTT apps, including Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Jio Cinema Premium. AirFiber Max is available in select areas.
Reliance Jio is planning to further extend its reach, with many more cities expected to have access to the services by the end of 2023. These services can be installed through the My Jio app or Jio website by entering details like pin code, mobile number, installation address and more.
