Vikas Gupta moves to Himalaya after leading VLCC, bringing over 27 years of experience across FMCG, beauty, wellness and ecommerce
Vikas Gupta, currently CEO and Managing Director of VLCC, is set to join Himalaya Wellness Company as Chief Executive Officer – India on 23 September 2026, bringing more than 27 years of experience across FMCG, consumer businesses, digital commerce, beauty and wellness.
Gupta will take charge of Himalaya’s India business, which spans healthcare, personal care, oral care, baby care and animal health. Founded in 1930, the company operates in more than 100 countries and has built its portfolio around Ayurvedic knowledge and modern scientific research.
Gupta spent nearly two decades with Unilever, holding leadership positions across India and international markets including Singapore, Brazil, the UK and Indonesia. His roles covered brand development, commercial operations and business growth across consumer categories.
He subsequently moved to Flipkart as Chief Customer & Marketing Officer before joining Nykaa as CEO – Superstore, Nykaa Pro & International. At Nykaa, Gupta was involved in developing its B2B beauty commerce business and building it as a growth vertical.
Gupta joined VLCC as CEO and Managing Director in 2023, where he has been leading the business through a transformation and growth phase. His experience spans consumer strategy, brand building, digital and ecommerce, P&L management and business transformation.
An engineer from Delhi College of Engineering, Gupta holds an MBA from IIM Lucknow. He will assume his new role at Himalaya on 23 September 2026.
