Lava International’s subsidiary SOJO Manufacturing Services (AP) has recently been approved for IT hardware manufacturing under the Centre’s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme.
The PLI will allow SOJO to manufacture consumer electronic durables such as smartphones, feature phones, accessories, tablets, laptops and other IT hardware for Lava International and other Indian and global brands.
In a statement, Rishi Bhatnagar, President of Lava International expressed his enthusiasm for being a part of the PLI scheme. He said that this approval validates the company’s dedication to fostering domestic production in the IT hardware segment.
“The Centre’s PLI support will undoubtedly propel Lava towards greater heights in the industry,” the President added.
Additionally, the company underlined SOJO’s crucial role in the Indian hardware sector, which according to the firm will imprint India’s presence in the global IT market.
