Swiggy, India’s leading on-demand convenience platform, has made a significant addition to its leadership team with the appointment of Suparna Mitra as an Independent Director to its Board.
Suparna Mitra, currently serving as the CEO of Titan Company Watches and Wearables Division, brings with her over three decades of experience in the lifestyle and retail sectors.
With a distinguished academic background, including an electrical engineering degree from Jadavpur University and an MBA from IIM Calcutta, Mitra has held pivotal roles in global marketing at Titan, showcasing her exceptional leadership and strategic vision.
In a statement released on Thursday, Sriharsha Majety, Group CEO of Swiggy, expressed his enthusiasm for Mitra’s appointment, stating, “We are excited to welcome Suparna as an independent director to our board. Suparna Mitra now joins Swiggy’s distinguished list of independent directors, which includes Anand Kripalu – MD & Global CEO at EPL and Chairperson of the Swiggy board, Shailesh Haribhakti – Chairman of Shailesh Haribhakti & Associates, and Sahil Barua – Managing Director & CEO at Delhivery.
